Available Courses Under Permanent Commission (PC)
Pakistan Air Force is offering several courses under Permanent Commission for candidates who wish to build a long term career in the force.
162 General Duty Pilot Course
This course is open for both male and female citizens of Pakistan aged between 16 to 22 years as on 15 April 2027. Candidates must be unmarried with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches and vision of 6 by 6 in each eye without glasses. Candidates must have passed with a minimum of 65 percent marks in aggregate in F.Sc Pre Engineering, Pre Medical, or Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification such as A Level or DAE. The training period for this course is 4 years and successful candidates will be awarded a BS Degree in Aviation Management or BE in Aerospace or Avionics from CAE.
108 Aeronautical Engineering Course
Open to male and female citizens of Pakistan aged between 16 to 22 years as on 15 April 2027, unmarried candidates with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches for males and 4 feet 10 inches for females are eligible. The qualification requirement is minimum 65 percent marks in F.Sc Pre Engineering or equivalent, A Level, or DAE. The training period is 4 years leading to the award of a BE degree in Aerospace or Avionics.
118 Air Defence Course
This course is exclusively for male citizens of Pakistan aged 16 to 22 years as on 15 April 2027. Candidates must be unmarried with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches. The eligibility criteria requires minimum 65 percent marks in F.Sc Pre Engineering, Pre Medical or Computer Science, or equivalent qualifications. Training duration is 4 years with award of a BS Degree in Aviation Management.
37 Admin and Special Duties Course
Male citizens of Pakistan aged 16 to 22 years as on 15 April 2027 can apply for this course. Candidates must be unmarried with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches and must have passed with minimum 65 percent marks in the prescribed qualifications mentioned above. The training period is 4 years with award of a BS Degree in Aviation Management.
20 Logistics Course
This course is open to candidates aged 16 to 22 years as on 15 April 2027 who are unmarried with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches. Eligibility includes F.Sc Pre Engineering, Pre Medical, Computer Science, A Level, or Diploma of Associate Engineering with minimum 65 percent marks. Training period is 4 years with award of a BS Degree in Aviation Management.

138 Education Branch
Candidates aged 20 to 29 years as on 15 April 2027, both male and female, married or unmarried, can apply. The minimum height requirement is 5 feet 4 inches for males and 4 feet 10 inches for females. Applicants must hold an MS or M.Phil degree in Maths, Psychology, Education, Pakistan Studies or History, English, Computer Science, or Management Sciences with minimum 65 percent marks or 2.7 out of 4 CGPA from a recognized university. Training period is 24 weeks and rank offered is Flying Officer.
138 Engineering Branch
Male citizens of Pakistan aged 20 to 26 years, married or unmarried, with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches can apply. The required qualification is BE in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, with preference given to candidates holding an MS degree. Minimum requirement is 60 percent marks or 2.5 out of 4 CGPA. Training period is 24 weeks with the rank of Flying Officer.
138 Accounts Branch
This branch is open to male citizens of Pakistan aged 20 to 26 years, married or unmarried, with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches. Candidates must hold a B.Com, BBA in Finance, BS Finance, or BS Commerce or Accounting with minimum 65 percent marks or 2.7 out of 4 CGPA from a recognized university. Training period is 24 weeks leading to the rank of Flying Officer.
138 IT Branch
Male citizens of Pakistan aged 20 to 26 years, married or unmarried, with a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches are eligible. The required qualification includes BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Science, Al Geo Information Systems, or related emerging computing fields with minimum 65 percent marks or 2.7 out of 4 CGPA. Training period is 24 weeks with the rank of Flying Officer.
Selection Procedure for PAF Jobs 2026
The selection process for Pakistan Air Force Jobs 2026 consists of multiple stages. Candidates are required to complete online registration through the official PAF website. This is followed by an Intelligence Test and Academic Test conductedthrough e-Testing, where GD Pilot, Aeronautical Engineering, Air Defence and Logistics Course candidates are tested in English and Physics, CAE candidates are tested in English, Physics and Maths, while CSC candidates are tested in academic subjects relevant to their qualification. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Initial Medical Examination and Interview at the Inter Services Selection Centre. After qualifying the initial physical test, candidates proceed to a formal test and interview conducted by ISSB at Kohat, Gujranwala, Malir or Quetta. This is followed by a final medical examination conducted at CMB Lahore. GD Pilot candidates are additionally required to clear the Flying Aptitude Test at the Inter Services Selection Centre in Rawalpindi or Karachi. Final selection is made strictly on merit by Air Headquarters.
Physical Test Requirements
Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards set by Pakistan Air Force, which include a timed run, push ups, sit ups, and chin ups, with slightly different time and repetition standards for male and female applicants. It is recommended that candidates prepare physically well in advance of the initial tests to ensure they meet these standards comfortably.
Documents Required at Initial Test
Candidates appearing for the initial test at PAF Instructions and Selection Centre must bring their NADRA Smart Card along with the smart cards of self, father, and mother.
